Anyone with an Emco MH30 Woodworker P/T?

Thanks again, Matt. I looked at quite a few variations on the Metabo pages before i found the relevant drawing. It ended up with the drawing for HC 300 W, but it appears it's the same machine as the ADH 1630 even down to the number of the chute in the parts list, so probably just a change of...

Thanks Matt! I didn't know that. I'll look into whether or not Metabo has the necessary part!

Anyone with an Emco MH30 Woodworker P/T?

After much searching i finally found an Emco MH30 to replace my cheap and nasty Chinese Planer/thicknesser. That's right; No pic's, never happened! It's currently situated in my garage while I clean, adjust and repair, but will soon be incorporated into the woodworking shop...

Steve's workshop - Painting the outside walls

I'd say that totally depends on how you plan to lay out tools and equipment, but with that kind of space, I would probably centralise one or two Festool MFT tables and a proper workbench as well and then it would make the most sense to make a square above them to keep hoses.powercords etc. out...

    Inca bandsaw

If you are the lucky so and so who got a practically new one for 500 NOK... :x :D Only joking of course. I've also only used Tuffsaw blades on mine, but i would have to check which size. Ian sorted me out with blades! It's a cracking little saw, that's for sure! How about some pic's of yours?

    DB mitre saw

I recently moved house and since it was a rather old house in need of rebuilding i invested in some tools. Amongst many other things i changed out my Makita Flip-saw for a separate tablesaw and a SCMS. I tried a lot of different ones, but ended up buying the Festool Kapex 120. If you have a lot...

    All for a screwdriver

Not sure what Maine hardwood is at all, it looks suspiciously as oiled Beech, or similar. They are rather nice, though, and pricewise not to bad i think. They do make a cabinetmakers set as well, IIRC. Look at that: http://www.popularwoodworking.com/woodw ... rewdrivers An assortment...

    All for a screwdriver

And a little tip for anyone not able or willing to do fantastic restorations and find gems amongst all the rocks... I have a set of these: http://www.graceusaguntools.com/screwdrivers.htm which i use for my guns and also for brass slot head screws. Absolutely great for both!

What's this bit on my lathe for?

Is there any graduation on your tailstock quill? If not, it may be to hold a measuring clock to measure travel of the quill?

Any useful woodworking Apps for the iPad?

I have two woodie apps on my iPhone; I.D. Wood which is ok'ish, but nothing more, and Ambicalc, which takes away all need to memorize the math involved in things. The sole reason for me buying that app was the template offset calculator which is very nice. I don't know why i don't manage to wrap...

    Stupid question

If you rightclick and mark it not junk in hotmail it goes on your "whitelist" which is email addys which you've allowed. Or, if you know the adress you will want to "whitelist", just add it to contacts.

    sander for fast sanding

I think you may want to look at the Festool RAS and ROTEX offerings. The RAS is probably much the same as the angle grinder approach, but the Rotex is efficient, with good dustcollection and also the ability to end with a better finish. I have a 125mm. one and it sure eats away wood at the...

Buying advice for bench top bandsaws

I would like to suggest that in addition to taking Steves advise on this, you buy his bandsaw DVDs! I have watched mine probably 3 times before i owned a bandsaw and now i will be watching it again when i start sorting out my small Inca.

A little help with Inca Euro 260 please

Thanks a lot Powertools! Seems I might need to brush up my welding skills to get that angle made up. Or just get someone to do it... The joys of knowing a pro welder :-D Steve; I do indeed have all your DVD's and will look into your suggestions when I start on this one.
