How to alter frame to take 44mm door

As a Carpenter i wouldnt touch it unless removed old frame and fitted a new one. Ive worked in England with those narrow doors dont know why ye still use them. 44mm doors are standard here in Ireland. Still think you would need instumesent fire strips to get the rating.

Loose MDF door hinges and screws

I Would never fix hinges into the end of Mdf. It just splits and spreads. Best bet is a blum type hinge if it would work with 18mm board fitted thickness of Mdf door back from front of frame to fix hinge plates to.

    What’s this anyone?

It was used to stick down floors mostly oak and other hardwoods. Ive repaired the aile floor in Church recently which had it. I left it alone just used modern adhesive to stick new stuff. It also worked as a vapour barrier. It was heated in a big pot outside and pored on floor.
