    Crate Handles

Similar to what @recipio says. I cut a strip of ply, attached one end to a router, measured out the radius of the finger pull on the ply and drilled a hole. Clamped another piece of ply to be used as a template then positioned the router over it and put a nail through the radius hole to act as a...

    Ball corners

My sister has asked me to make a box approx 20"x12"x12" using 'something decent, not pine or fir'. She also wants ball corners or something similar so that grandkids don't go bouncing their heads off sharp corners. Oh, and it also needs to be light coloured wood. I've got some White Ash and...

    My shepherds hut build

Me and the bruv have been doing something similar. We built one for a customer and the only way we could deliver it was to crane it over her back garden wall. Still beats me why she wanted it on wheels as it has nowhere else to go. Looks nice though.

Knife presentation box in Dougie Fir. The knife in the box is for illustrative purposes only. The knife that will put in this box has a very similar pattern on the blade as the grain pattern on the front of the box. It comes across much darker in the pics than it is. Charred, wire brushed...

Yet another Paul Sellars style desk organiser but went crackers with a blow torch to try for a Sho Sugi Ban effect. What did I learn? I learned that if you make well fitting drawers and lids then set them on fire they may not be quite so well fitting afterwards.

Bit of a change for me - a set of steps. These are for a shepherd's hut, being built by someone else. They still need a final rub down and a few coats of paint but I won't be doing that so they're finished. Quite enjoyed doing these - made a change from making little boxes.

Which bandsaw do I get - Axminster AC1950B or Record Power 250 or something else entirely?

I was in the same position as you, saw this Badger Axminster 1950B review and bought one. Mainly used for small resawing jobs. It's been ok. Not fantastic but it's let me expand my woodworking to do things I otherwise wouldn't have been able to. If I had more room and more money I would have...

My sister asked me to make a keepsake box for one of her Grandkids. Carcass is Black Walnut, which was lovely to work with. Lid is Zebrano, which looks right nice but is an absolute pig to work with. The bottom is flock lined and I've oiled the inside as well as the outside. The eagle...

Recently bought a bandsaw so now I'm able to resaw to suitable dims I had a go at a Paul Sellers desk organiser. Box is American White Oak with a Zebrano lid and drawer pull. Not varnished yet so not really finished but I've now got a massive dose of CBA after faffing with the hinges for...

A real scrap bin special this time. Base is Iroko from Duffield's 50p clearance bin. Back and sides are White Oak which had been discarded as it was too dinged and the spalted Beech lid was scrounged from the docks. The beech was used for chocking cargo in the ship's holds. When the ships...

    Bandsaw mitre fence problem

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah I'm with you on that but to use the sliding mitre saw I have to lift the bandsaw from the top of the router table, take it outside, then get the mitre saw from under the wine rack and put it on top of the router table......... you know what it's like working in...

    Bandsaw mitre fence problem

I recently bought an Axminster Craft AC1950B Bandsaw along with their Craft Mitre Fence. I'm well impressed with the quality of cuts on the small resawing jobs it was bought for but I'm struggling with the mitre fence. Cross cuts are fine, giving a true right angle but when trying to cut at a...

This box I made for my bike tools needed a bit of organising so I made a till for it. Seldom used stuff like chain whips, cable cutters and bottom bracket spanners are in the box while frequently used stuff like Allen keys and spoke keys are in the till where I can get at 'em easily.

    Bicycles

Don't know. Can't find any branding on it at all. It's over 20 years old and is very basic being a plastic crate that push fits into a tubular steel chassis with ~10" wheels. There's a plastic ball and socket joint on the end of the pulling yoke that clamps to the seat post. Sounds rubbish but...
