    Redundant Elu RAS 1251

The motor only does 2800 rpm so no good. Thanks all.

    Redundant Elu RAS 1251

I have one of the above. I would like to use the motor as a fixed router in a router lift. I have bought Jay Bates (YouTube) plans. Got no idea about sizing motors, just wanted to ask will it work? Has anyone done this? I know I might have a problem with the collet, but not thinking about it...

    Bench Cookies

Ordered 50 of these 5/16 th threaded inserts from America on either the 26 or 27th and they arrived today! 3 or 4 days. So far I paid £16 for the 50. At 67 I can leave some in my will for my son! Will get a bill. Soon with tax and import duty that will add some. But great service.

Duncan looks like you got the imaginary prize. It looks like there would have been imperial threaded inserts in the kit.

    Bench Cookies

lurker: been in it for 51 years and never saw them until I watched some videos. Its this internet that's to blame!!! My wife doesn't believe me. Blocks of wood will do the same but I'm enjoying streamlining the workshop and my wallet (not so much). I'll report back if they are being used.

    Bench Cookies

The latest: I logged on to Amazon.com (USA) found a pack of 50 threaded nuts and with express delivery the total was £16 the same price as the 8 from Israel so I cancelled the 8.

    Bench Cookies

Rorschach, Bought them from Amazon. I bought the kit. Andy. Bench cookie comes with risers (legs) one end threads into the bench cookie and the other end 5/16th thread into a fixing I want on my MFT top. My bench is on castors and fits under a kitchen worktop in my garage so its too low as a...

    Bench Cookies

They are the only ones I have seen. And £2 each isn’t cheap.

    Bench Cookies

I have bought a set of the above and now I need some 5/16th threaded inserts. Seems an impossible task here in the UK. Trolled the web for them and had no luck. There are expensive ones on Amazon (£2 each) but they are 4 weeks delivery. Has anyone on the site managed to get imperial threaded...

    DeWalt 876 Bandsaw tension issues.

Thank you all for comments and suggestions, the threads on the rod seem ok and the spring tightens and relaxes as you adjust the screw what doesn't seem to happen is the steel block that has the pulley fixed to it doesn't seem to move. Got to be honest I can't work out what's supposed to happen...

    DeWalt 876 Bandsaw tension issues.

Hello all, I’m having a problem adjusting the blade tension on my Dewalt 786 Bandsaw. The adjustment knob on the top of the machine is supposed to move the top pulley wheel up to tighten the blade but for some reason mine doesn’t do that. You can adjust it as tight as you want but it doesn’t...

    Cheap Metric T-Track

I would like to add to this thread. Tried Amazon but for some reason they had withdrawn the item. Contacted Halyon881 and he couldn't find them either. I did a search on ebay and found them there. I purchased 3 x 1200 and paid £19.35 with £14.28 postage. Arrived today and it looks very good...

    Tormek issue

Glynne, sorry to take this time in getting back to you. Mine takes a lot of pressure to stop it. When you release the wheel it starts up in the wrong direction. Having never seen another working I thought that they all did this. I then have to switch it off wait until it stops then restart it I...

    Scheppach HMS260 Planer thicknesses.

The latest and probably last update. I contacted NMA Tools in the hope they had a new handle and some washers that I needed. I really didn't think I would get them. They contacted me Monday morning and were able to supply all the bits! Today Tuesday I got them and their on the planer so no...

    Axminster Rip Fence upgrade

Thanks Steve and Eric. Has anyone got a photo of Steve's fence? I want to see how much work/time is involved in making it. Not shy of work but I have a long list of must do's. John

    Tormek issue

Can I ask a question and please don't be offended, but is it driving in the right direction? Mine's pretty old and I can stop it fairly easily if it does stop it starts back turning in the wrong direction.

    Axminster Rip Fence upgrade

Eric the Viking. My saw has a removable aluminium section that holds the fence. When you remove this you are left with 4 fixed threaded nuts (don’t have a name for them to be honest). If I can position the brackets that come with the fence to these it would work. Best thing I can do is to visit...

    Scheppach HMS260 Planer thicknesses.

Just a quick update. Spent much of the day and have managed to set the planer. the little star handle I have fitted on the end instead of the original is pretty weak and doesn't adjust the table on it's own. I have to get beneath the infeed table and adjust it there but to be honest once it's...
