    Lay out pens?

Sounds like a job for a Space Pen

Very up market handle but I’d call that a trowel rather than a hoe.

    Stolen tools news article

Another example of restricting everyone because of the few. Far better to petition to get something done about the few.

    Stolen tools news article

Odd that most of the tools are without batteries.

Certainly looks like Adula to me. The underline and the left slope with crossbar look very convincing.

It works too. Just made myself a coffee. It’s only a lump of steel so it’s going to rust. I’ve waxed it to postpone that a bit. My lathe certainly isn’t up to machining stainless.

Bit of metal working today. We have a nice coffee maker that grinds beans and tamps the coffee puck. My wife though wants to drink Dcaf on occasions so we need to be able to use Decaf ground coffee. To do this I needed a tamper. I turned this one this afternoon. My mini lathe chatters a bit with...

How to enthuse a 4 year old

I forgot the safety glasses. My kids had them in their tool boxes too.

How to enthuse a 4 year old

As the parent of four daughters, all who can use a drill and know what a rawl plug is, I can really appreciate this. @DavidRa mine all received a toolbox with a whisk drill (enclosed for finger safety) a hammer, a small saw, a pair of pliers, screw driver and a tape measure when they were four...

    For Sale Picture framing kit

Looks like we shop from the same place. My drawer looks pretty much identical even down to the band clamp. I’ve missed my latest tool buying opportunity, my wife is now back from vacation. An 18g nail gun did mysteriously appear while she was away.

    Something new

Now you have said it’s only 9mm wall you might be better to go for some king of external surface mount butterfly hinge and make than a feature. Just a random example...

I would glue the whole lot together then saw the lid off. You’ll need the ends on the lid to keep it true and strong. I would go for 90 degree stop hinges in brass. I generally use Bruso but I know a lot on here swear by another brand that escapes me right now.

    Joke Thread 4

ICE is now IVI. In vehicle infotainment. Seems our entertainment is now also informative. Not sure I agree. I’m really not interested in being told that Billy and Bobby are travelling to Cardiff on the M4 to celebrate their wedding anniversary with family and could they have a shout out for...

You can drive a Tesla without using the break pedal at all. It’s weird at first but a lot of people do it.

Need vs want is a difficult question. I covet a miter trimmer and an under pinner but the reaction to new tools at home is always something to consider.

The most frustrating thing you have encountered lately

Not an indicator user then? Using the indicator lets the car know you are deliberately leaving the lane. Unlike a wife cars can’t read minds.
