    Said my wife before she left for a weekend away. This is what she meant, right? Had to take advantage of a rare dry and sunny weekend here in Wales! Had been needing to get this done for a few months! All oak. Funny thing is I don't even have a lathe (yet)!! 😂 Just planning for the future, ha!

    Anyone out there with a chainsaw mill and near the Beacon Beacons?

    Had a large ash tree come down in the garden a few weeks ago and although it would be good for firewood it seems a shame not to be able to mill (some) of it. I have a couple of chainsaws but my biggest bar is only 18"... Anyone out there near the Brecon Beacons with an Alaskan chainsaw mill...

    Filling holes in oak

    Evening all I picked up an oak dresser at an auction which I plan to refurbish. There are 5 small drilled holes in the top (see photos, pencil for scale) which I'd like to fill before a finish coat but I'm not sure what to use to a) match the wood and b) be compatible with the final finish...

    Hi all, hoping to tap into the collective knowledge and experience here..... I'm blessed with having a large workshop, circa 15m X 5m, ceiling height varying from 2-4m, to play in.     Hi, I'm after a chip breaker for a Stanley No.5 plane, 2" model. Can anyone point me to somewhere that sells them? I can find lever caps, handles, irons etc but no chip breakers anywhere! Thanks in advance Neil
