Andy,
My tuppence worth. A few years ago I bought the Rutlands version, from the pics its exactly the same as the Axi one. OK it got me started and spent time in my kitchen and then the garage.....BUT it is not rigid enough for decent hand tool work. And it has, over the years, bent and bowed...
Lovely work,
Interesting in your utility room pics.....Bosch, Panasonic, Beko and Hotpoint appliances. You'd have thought.......... :) :(
Anyway thanks for sharing,
Cheers
Andrew
Love the piece,
Not sure why you had to paint the ash top, but, knowing ash, you've done a brilliant finishing job.
Excellent, thanks for sharing
Andrew
Great post, thank you,
and has already been said that link from JSW is fascinating. And what a wild remote part of Sweden they are in too.
Brilliant, seeing old craftsmanship alive and well.
Andrew
It would appear from the photo on Rutlands website to be the exact same machine (aside from the rotary tool bit) as the the Lidl (Parkside) one I bought a few months ago for around £50.00. I think Screwfix were knocking it out for about £99 under a different badge.
I have been pleasantly...
