    Stanley drill brace.

    Thanks Mike and Toby, problem is now resolved, I hadn't noticed that the outer groove in the jaws went under the locating hole so that the spring does indeed hook into the jaws and holds them apart as suggested. Cheers ! Think I should've gone to specsavers ! Gezzer.

    Sorry, pics didn't load first time, thanks for diagram toby, but there are no holes on inside of jaws as you can now see.

    thanks andy and toby, here are a couple of pictures as suggested. It would seem to me that the 'pegs' on the end of the spring are facing the wrong way to locate in the holes in the jaws, any ideas ? Gezzer.

    :?: Hello guys, I recently purchased a Stanley No.73 Mk.2 drill brace, 10 inch, made in england. I stripped it down to clean and restore it, but now i'm having a major problem re-assembling the chuck/jaws. Even though there are only 3 parts (spring and jaws) I cannot fathom out how they go...
