    Axminster or record power P/T

So I'm looking to purchase a new P/T in the new year, I've managed with my ancient Kitty 636 and a Dewalt DW733 for long enough. I need to make some new windows for the workshop and the sill will need to be 2.4m ish and the kitty's tables are just not long enough, and it's super loud along with...

    Workshop Security.

Morning all, For the past few nights/early mornings my wife is convinced she has seen a torch light at the back of my workshop (it backs on to an old drainage channel about 6ft wide) because of this and a number of local burglaries I'm starting to think that my workshop might be an easy target...

    Sharpening a drawknife.

Afternoon all, Having just come back from the Great Yorkshire Show with a new Ray Ils gents drawknife I'm wondering what is the best way to sharpen it. I'm not talking stone types or weather to hold the stone and move the tools or vice versa, I'm asking weather it should be a fully flat bevel...

Afternoon all, We moved into an ex council house earlier this year when we moved in there was damp in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms at the top of the walls with one bedroom being worse than the other. A quick trip up the ladder seemed to reveal the cause, the gutters were full (overflowing...

    Stickley side table.

Just thought I'd post a quick thread on my latest project. This is a design for a popular woodworking book on arts and crafts furniture, I have modified the design a little as I didn't like the curve on the stretcher going right to the end. Its all made for solid oak and was made entirely by...

    bent sash mortice chisel.

Afternoon all, I'm reasonably sure that this a silly question but I bought a nice old marples 1/4 sash mortice chisel from ebay, the only problem with it is that there is a curve down the length of the blade blade (side to side). Is there anyway I can straighten this without heating? Thanks Matt
