    Router bits advice please

Hi Pete Not sure how familiar you are with routers but if you go with the router option, make sure you don’t do the cut in a one-er. Take several passes down to full depth. Hope I’m not telling you how to suck eggs! Cheers Pete

Alternative to the festool ETS EC150

Hi everyone Looking at a cheaper alternative to the above. I’ve seen a couple of recommendations for this Bosch https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/bosch-gex-125-150-ave-random-orbit-sander-in-l-boxx-carry-case And also a couple of mentions for this makita...

    Decent Brad point drill bits

Thanks for all of those recommendations everyone. I use Wealden router bits and they are great so I’ll probably look to try those. Fitzroy - no offence taken, you are possibly right. That’s why I’m probably better seeing how I get on with the Wealden ones (at approx £1.50 a go) compared to...

    Decent Brad point drill bits

Afternoon Can anyone recommend a decent brand of Brad point bits? I recently bought 2 3mm ones by erbauer and they both broke within 5 minutes! I’ve heard fisch, famag and heller mentioned but are there any others? Cheers Pete

Best Paint Sprayer - Reasonable Cost

Hi geoff I’m not too sure on spraying but I wonder if an alternative option might also be to outsource the spraying to someone else? Would save you investing in something that you plan to use once unless you would think about selling after use? Cheers Pete

    Blum hinges

Thanks Clive, I think I’ve just been thinking about it the wrong way round. I’ll make the carcass and the frame first and then worry about the doors rather than the other way round! Cheers Peter

    Blum hinges

Thanks for that Doug. I guess I’m just not 100% sure on face frames. So for example I’ve got a run of built in wardrobes all with inset doors sitting flush within the carcass. How do I then add a face frame which also sits flush with the doors and the carcass and doesn’t show the end grain of...

    Corner wardrobe build

Hi all Thanks for all the suggestions some really good advice. And on the back of this I’ll be heading to ikea tomorrow to see if I can get any inspiration. I’ll try not to buy too many dime bars 😂. Cheers Pete

    Blum hinges

Hi everyone I’ve generally used butt hinges on most of my projects and don’t have much experience of the kitchen cabinet/blum style hinges. I’m sure I read somewhere on this forum that inset hinges aren’t designed to be flush with the carcass, is that right or have I misunderstood? Also for...

    Corner wardrobe build

Good evening everyone I’m embarking on a corner wardrobe build at home. Doors will be shaker style full overlay 22mm MRMDF rails and stiles with 9mm MRMDF panels with floating tenons (thanks for the youtube videos if you’re reading this Peter Millard :-)). The doors will be tall (approx...

    Recommend drawer runners

Thanks woody I’ll take a look. Any other suggestions anyone?

    Recommend drawer runners

Morning everyone I’m about to embark on my first set of drawers. Can anyone recommend drawer runners? The choice is bewildering! Something sturdy and with soft close? They are just for clothes in a wardrobe so won’t be holding a huge amount of weight. Cheers Pete
