Post a photo of the last thing you made

I've been making a lot of laser cut boxes lately and they often require a little persuasion to assemble, so I made myself a mini mallet to help. Was a really enjoyable project and great way to use up some smaller scraps I had lying around.

Fox Alien CNC Router Machine 4040-XE any good

I was very tempted by bulkman or ratrig when I was researching, the deciding factor for me was laziness and shipping. I didn't want to build one myself, I'd like to one day but at time of purchasing I wanted to get up and running as quick as possible.

Fox Alien CNC Router Machine 4040-XE any good

I have the Fox Alien 4040 XE and just upgraded it to a 4080, I've also added a VFD and spindle. Only had light use so far, but I'm happy with it. Reason I picked this machine came down to price and linear rails. The biggest downside isn't with the machine but with the support if something...

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

Laser cut a couple of dovetail markers, thought they'd look good in acrylic. I may have gone over the top with 6mm acrylic though, they are chunky. First cnc project for a little while, nice easy one to get back into things, french cleat bracket to create a shelf for router plane.

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

I saw that there was a plain till on boxes.py but wasn't a fan of the design especially the fact that it sits vertical. So I decided to design my own in fusion 360, made it fully parametric so in theory I can make one for each size plane by changing a few parameters. Cut out of 4mm mdf, works...

    Modular Workbenches

I don't have the plans or the workbench any more I'm afraid. The MFT one was built around this top: https://www.cncdesign.co.uk/replacement-perforated-festool-type-mft3lp-top.html

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

This might be the simplest thing I've cut on my laser cutter, but it was super handy. Recently made a mini mortising jig however I was having trouble centering it on my work peice. So I made a cut out that was the exact size of the opening in the jig with a centre line scored.

Withdrawn Festool Kapex KS120 REB 240V

Decided I'm going to keep the saw and try and make some room for it.

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

This dust hose for drill press works better than I expected, I had to use some blue tape to make the mount fit the pillar even when using the remixed file. File: https://www.printables.com/model/820914-flexible-hose-for-dust-extraction

Withdrawn Festool Kapex KS120 REB 240V

This saw is phenomenal, been super reliable and versatile but I need to make some room in the workshop so sadly this must go. Purchased 23/02/2023 so just over a year old, in great condition, only been used for light hobby work. Comes with hold down clamp, manual and Bevel SM-KS. £950...

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

This was quite a fun little project, small laser cut stand for some fake plants to add a bit of interest to my floating console. Made from various scraps of acrylic, including some galaxy acrylic I found.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Just finished building a floating media console, two main purposes, one to hide plugs and cables and media player and the other somewhere for my sound bar to sit. Threw in a couple of new (to me) techniques in this build. Stopped dados with shoulders, they turned out orite, couple of the...

Latest thing you have printed / machined / cut

Laser cut some clear acrylic trays for my recent coffee station, acrylic is not very forgiving, got the thickness slightly wrong and cracked/snapped a few bits trying to force them together ha, but they are holding with no glue so far. Did plan on using superglue but ran out. No matter where I...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Last year I moved my coffee set up from my kitchen to my dining room to give me more room in the kitchen. The problem with this was that my dining room table was too low for a comfortable working height, so I purchased some risers, which have worked fine but are pretty ugly. So I finally got...

Collection of 3d printing files relevant for woodworking

I've been using this one for a coffee accessory wall: https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/latest-thing-you-have-printed-machined-cut.143272/post-1723253 It's pretty good, although sometimes a bit confusing trying to figure out what parts you need exactly.
