Looking for a supplier of well seasoned wood in South Wales.. I'm making gun stocks. Ideal woods would be beech, walnut and cherry.
I'm in Swansea and have been to Swansea Timber and Ply and Nottage Timber in Pyle but there is not much suitable there.

I find the choice a little confusing..
For example I looked at a Startrite 351 which had a 300mm depth of cut but with a 1 hp motor. Unfortunately I was pipped for that on ebay.

SIP has more power and slightly greater depth of cut, but only 1 year warranty as opposed to 5 years with the Record Power.
Want a band saw for doing veneers in hardwood up to a depth of 7 1/2 inches..

I'm laminating mainly for decorative effect. It is done by others and seems a well established approach..... I am able to buy pre laminated gun stock blocks but they are very expensive.
