Hi Sam,
I’m a hobbyist woodworker in Bognor. I’m not who you’re looking for exactly, but I would be interested in something that allowed me to pay for access to bigger machines and a bit of working space when I need it — there are some things I just can’t manage at home.
(I would be also be...
Although it’ll probably take a good six inches off, not just a few. If you really only need a few inches then a simple larks head with a steel pin through it would probably work.
The only problem I see here is that you are measuring from a reference that you haven’t verified. I don’t see anywhere in your text where you’ve checked that the left hand edge is also perfectly 90 degrees.
I planed some MDF the other day. I had to fit some arcitrave around a loft hatch in a slightly wonky ceiling and was procrastinating on how best to work it. On a whim I tried using a shoulder plane, fully expecting disaster, but I was gobsmacked at how well it worked.
I have a Ring setup which includes a home alarm and outdoor camera with flood lights.
The camera is mains powered with Wi-Fi and will turn on the lights and notify you of motion, as well as recording rolling footage.
The home alarm is mains powered with Wi-Fi, but also has battery and SIM card...
Hi all,
I’m looking for a selection of chunks of wood to get me started on my new lathe. I’m not looking for massive bowl blanks, but if anyone has some useful smaller bits to spare that would be great.
Chris
The Vevor advert says that it is steel, although it doesn't specify stainless.
It is, to a point. I haven't found any real negative criticism of the Vevor chuck, so the decision seems to be between high quality and higher quality, which is a more difficult decision to make.
