    Excalibur EX-21

Hi Had mine for 8 months and it's been used a lot. Only problem I have, is the table surface is marked in places and showing the black undercoat. I've made a wooden cover that fits over the table out of ply, and it's protected. I must admit I like this a lot better than my hegner clone (Axminster)

The hegner clamps comes with a huge knurled knob and a new top clamp, it was engineered to move using bearing to stop blades bending, they are well worth the money Bob

I replaced the plastic rollers with 4 bearings OD 7mm ID 4mm 2.5 thick and never looked back. You use the same spindle and washers. Been using them for the last year. Some say 8mm od, but I found the quick release lever would fly back.. The bearing are about £6-7 off the bay. Bob

    Coal Miner pattern

I wonder if anyone has a Coal miner pattern. Maybe someone might have seen a pattern on their travels. I did buy one from Old crow, from the usa which is superb, but I would like one from the Uk. Even a mining scene. Thanks Bob

    Am I doing something wrong?

I think you will find the blade stroke needs to be changed. Take the side cover off, and you will see a bolt on the fly wheel. use a screw driver on the wheels side (hole) to lock the wheel. when removing the bolt there may be two small shims/washer on the blind side of the wheel. Look at the...

Axminster AWFS18 tension release lever problem

Hi Mart, I've been using the above now for one year, other than alittle grease they have been really great. I think the sizes you quoted above will work fine. I doubled checked mine after your post and the bearing are flush with the runner. Keep us posted when you upgrade. edit I tried 8mm od...

    Blades again

I'm not a expert. but is the wood bent/warped, that always makes the wood dance about. Which blades you using? I use FD no5's for cutting inch pine. Make sure you allow the blade to do the cutting, do not push hard (I always do after thinking everythings going well and then snap the blade.)
