    thanks for the quick reply as yet i have not opened the box, i reckon i would also proberly have to remove the blades as far as i can tell they are 260mm long and only 2 blades , i have kept it boxed as it is going to france and would like some spares, i will try to get some more info. ian

    just to add i feel that a larger motor has been fitted to a smaller blade i;e the current 12" that would explain as to why i cannot get near to 100mm cut , as the larger motor tops out on the underside of the bed, as i said i don't know for certain, this is not industrial grade stuff so 5hp...

    thanks for reply all that is true, it is simply that the bench has a large cut out in the table and the limited manual implys a blade up to 16" can be accommodated,plus there are alternate motor mountings ,the motor is direct drive rather than via a pulley and belt and the raise feature is undo...

    well solved it finally i phoned sip support they where hopeless and i was desperate to play so ...it was supplied with the wrong actuating bar it was about 1" to long ,so drilled hole back about 1" and now the guard lifts correctly. just to add it is the 110v model and is awesome i plugged it...
