i think you're missing the point, this is my alevel project. And its not as simple as you are making out, theres alot more to consider and do, to make sure you dont waste materials/waste as little as possible.

One major flaw I see is that you always want the cut timber to be between blade and fence, which is the opposite to what you’ve got in your picture. i don’t follow what you are saying. could you please try to explain again.
