I've got an 18v li-ion Recip saw by DeWalt. It's cutting out. Pull the trigger and it stars working fine, then after a second or two it dies out, as if the battery is out of power. Pull the trigger again and it works again, for a second.

Def not the battery as I've tried with several good ones.

Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix?

My guess is the trigger - but that's just a guess. If you feel competent you could try wiring it straight through - ie. bypass the trigger - and see if it runs. If so then just order a new trigger. Where are you Joe? There are loads of B&D service places around the country - there may be one near you.
 
Does it have an overload sensor? I have a 18v Makita multi tool that cuts out of it has too much load. It could be that your sensor has gone, and it thinks it's constantly overloaded
