Hey guys,

just finished my first ever cue. Lots of imperfections. first thing i noticed when i started planing down the splices i realized that the distance between the top and the bottom of the splice is too short(6 cm), whereas other handmade cues on the market has a splice top to bottom length as long as 13 cm. Has this got something to do with the angle that I am planing down to glue on the splices? I ve got a picture.. If anyone could help, more than appreciated.

Cheers,
Arthur

yes- it is all about the angle. to its greatest extreme, at 90 degrees, you get the minimum length- just the thickness of the infill material. At the other extreme- 1 degree, you may need way more length than a cue, or it will just be a strength.
