Amazon Fire TV Stick...help!

Just got the above for spare room...loaded and installed ok...can't access normal channels..Beeb, ITV etc.
Do I need to register with Amazon for these?

Firestick only accesses internet/catch up services.

Try the AV or HDMI option on your remote control.
The terrestrial TV is usually AV1 or HDMI1 and the Fire TV should be one of the other ascending options.
