Makita BO4556 240v Palm Finishing Sander

I'm thinking of buying one of these Makita BO4556 240v Palm Finishing Sander so my question to you would you recommend them if not what would you recommend instead thank's Mock

I have 2 one with the Velcro base one with the clips both work very well and are very well made, I prefer not to sand but when I do they are the ones I reach for.

Mostly the surface should be ok from the blade of the plane and / or scraper.

Nasty, noisy, dusty, thing to do, sharp plane or scraper and a coat of Danish Oil a wipe down with a scotch brite pad and another coat or two and off you go.

I can confirm Pete's aversion to sanding.
Mind you he has bolluxed up both of his thumbs using a scraper :roll:
