I'm getting to the point with my kitchen where I need to pick the hinges, otherwise I'm going to have doors and face frames finished but no hinges. I'd just been planning on buying some bog standard hinges from Screwfix. But when looking around on the interwebs I came across these:

Would they be better than the bog standard butt hinge from Screwfix? Yes, they aren't cheap, but I don't mind spending a few extra quid if they're good as I've only got 4 doors in total.

Or can someone suggest another supplier of small hinges, suitable for a kitchen door? Mine are about 21-22mm thick and they're set into face frames. It's all poplar.

The H hinges by from the anvil are designed to be face fixed, so quite a different look to butt hinges.

I tend to use 2 1/2" solid drawn butts, which I think are 64mm x 35mm x 5mm.

If you have kids, I would go for soft close hinges, beats having broken doors, and keeps the noise down.....especially if their at the stroppy teenage stage.

Blaum hinges would be my choice.
