Hi All,

Wasn't really sure where to post this, sure the mods will move if required.

I'm currently refurbishing a Teak garden table and chairs, I have taken the first chair apart and the fixings are horrible, rusted which has stained the wood etc.

Anyway, I like to do any job properly and wondered the following:

A, What are they called?

B, Can they be bought in Stainless Steel?

C, Where can I buy them from?

They are M5 or M6 with a 4.5mm Hex Head, here is a pic of the ones I have removed:

I believe they are called Cross Dowel Nuts & Bolts.

Screwfix sell them, but not in Stainless Steel.

I call them Barrel Nuts, I have found them online here:

Search for Joint Connector Bolts or Joint Connector Nuts.
