Latest Turnings

A few of my latest turnings using Paduk, Cherry and Purpleheart. I have been experimenting with my newly purchased Robert Sorby Texturing tool. I really like the design possibilities this tool can add to a turning.

really nice I like the decoration, is the tool like a small knurling wheel?

Wildman. There are 4 different wheels that came with the tool. All of the wheels have serrated teeth. The wheels are differentiated by the size of the teeth and their spacing. I am sure if you google Sorby texturing tool it will come up and you can see exactly what it looks like.

Very clean looking and delicate proportions, texturing adds impact but does not swamp the overall.

CHJ- your comments are exactly what I was trying to achieve. Add a bit of character and interest, in a subtle way, to a piece that you might otherwise just see as quite plain. Thanks for the confirmation.
