I am putting together a table of timber yards, with information from members who have actually visited the yards. Can you please help with information about Hymor Timber @ Stoke-on-Trent?

Can you self-select or is it by appointment?

Are they hobby friendly? I cannot comment

Can you self-select or is it by appointment? The timber is stacked so you need to have a fork lift to access it. But then they will let you look through the stack.

THEY WILL HELP YOU PICK THROUGH ENTIRE PILES TO GET THE BOARDS YOU WANT.

Will they deliver?

I BELIEVE SO, YES BUT HAVE NEVER USED THAT OPTION MYSELF.

PRICES ARE SOMETIME A BIT DIFFICULT TO GET. ASSESSING WHAT YOU MIGHT BE PAYING BEFORE IT IS ALL TOTALLED UP HAS BEEN DIFFICULT FOR ME EACH TIME I HAVE BEEN

THE GUYS ON THE YARD ARE *REALLY* HELPFUL. ONCE THEY PULL OUT A STACK OF THE RIGHT MATERIAL WITH THE FORKLIFTS, THEY'LL SORT THROUGH ENTIRE STACKS TO GET JUST THE BOARDS YOU NEED, MEASURING WITH YOU AND MAKING SUGGESTIONS AS YOU GO. NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THEM.

I HAVE HAD SOME "FUN" AT THE PAYMENT COUNTER WHERE THE BLOKE GIVES "FUNNY" PRICES AS A "JOKE".
HAHA.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE PRICE PER CUBE AND VERIFY IT FOR YOURSELF IF IT SEEMS IFFY.
