Found this at the car boot today...
Internet tells me it was made by the parent company of Peugeot cars (hence the lion), mid-Victorian.
Anyone got a clue about the corrugated end? Seems like the opposite approach to lapping it flat!

Good quality cast steel or plain high carbon steel irons. A little on the soft side, but you won't care too much about that given that it's a toothing iron.

I have one in a jack plane, it is so soft you could probably file it, or almost file it, but it makes a great jack plane iron.
