I've turned a few pens now and I'm getting the hang of it. I'd like to do some more and I like to European Pen kit from Axminster (probably because it's quite cheap and I tend to give pens away).

I use the pens myself and find that the actual component that has the nib and the ink isn't very good. My pens often stop working and require a good scribble to get them going again.

Does anyone know where I can buy better inserts from?

I've not tried the Beaufort inks, but i have got some Cross #8513's here which i believe are the replacements you're after. Send me a pm with your name and address and i'll pop a couple in the post for you... or, i'm just up the road off the M27 (about a mile or so from J7) you can come and grab a couple if you like.?
