| Aled Dafis! Wow very nice plane! Do you use CNC to cut the parts? Or is it all by hand? I'm always amazed at the talent on this Forum. |

xy mosian - no I was referring to the screw which fastens the chip breaker to the blade.
I have a collection of old ones complete with blade and chip breaker but not a modern Stanley or Record type.
The internal hole on my RI Norris Adjuster for the cap screw to sit in, measures 14.2mm.
Compared to the Karl Holtey ones, they are not the best bits of machine work I've seen, but they work and most of their bits are out of sight anyway?

Sorry Harbo , my mind must be stuck in 'modern' bailey mode.

Xy - no probs.
I have come to the conclusion (Record & Stanleys apart?) that the screws come in all shapes and sizes especially on older stuff.
Have a look at Karl Holtey's blog to see his adjustor's - you have to trawl down a lot though!
A while ago he said people making copies were doing him out of business, so was reducing the prices of his 11SA!
