Hi All - firstly I tried searching before posting this but couldn't find anything, so apologies if I missed an area this should go in.

My first post - I'm in Market Rasen, very keen to be able to speak to someone local about the best way to get started in woodturning. Totally new to the concept, but very familiar with wood and have access to lots of species given I own a small but busy Tree Surgery business.

I would ideally like to.join a club but can't seem to find any properly local.

If anyone has any pointers, it would be appreciated and if it all pans out I'd be happy to consider looking out for good bits of wood in return some mentorship.

Thanks in anticipation.

I've got 5 yeas worth of hardwood seasoned timber strored

Thanks for posting up the links, got those looked at already.

When you work as hard as I do, 20 miles is an issue for an evening out.

I'm sure I'll find someone hard at it local local.

Its good that you have the stockpile, we often get people here who think they can make furniture in the afternoon from the tree they cut that morning.
I googled "woodturning in lincolnshire and was amazed how many sites there are. keep trying.
