Thanks. The hardware is made by Hipshot. It's an 'A style' aluminum bridge and the tuners are the USA made Hipshot Ultralites. I wound the pickup myself.. it's a split-coil design with Alnico 3 magnets.

My latest build.. 4 string, short scale, fretless bass. White Limba body with a English Walnut top. English Walnut neck, Ebony fingerboard, lined with Maple.

I use Goldflex pads for sanding guitars prior to finishing, they're the best sanding pads I've come across by far. Not cheap but they last for a long time. I see no reason why they wouldn't work to de-nib paint.. however for paint/lacquer, I'd personally chose Mirka Abralon pads over the...
