    Which Airless Sprayer?

I have a kremlin which will spray anything but it is compressor powered not electric. Sometimes they pop up on ebay quite cheap if you have a fat compressor already. Great finish for normal use after as its air assisted for a smoother pattern.

    Fire extinguisher confusion

As the title states I have some fire extinguisher confusion. My current extinguishers are old and of indeterminate origin ( I forget when and where I got them ) so not up to scratch for the insurance people. So I am looking to replace them, currently I have powder ones and a C02 one but I was...

Pointers to reading / learning please.

That is the one my mate has, the A1 mini, really amazing performance for the money. He doesn`t have the colour change option as not required. He owns a very expensive fully enclosed machine and a Prusa and says the Bambu is just as good and faster. My software recommendations are Fusion 360...

Pointers to reading / learning please.

There is a lot of 3d printing 101 style videos on youtube to get you going, this is how I got my machine to work. It is mostly about the machine setup and using the slicer software correctly. It is amazing how far things have come in only a few years, my machine is an ender 3 which is very basic...

    Cars that make you smile

Mazda RX7 FC3S, the balance of power, grip and handling was just right, super nice comfy interior and also it made a fabulous noise. Also my old Toyota hilux mk3 in classic tonka yellow (ex Essex council ) it was slow but always made me smile and never ever broke down, got nicked otherwise I...

    Log Cabin Workshop 3.5m x 4.5m

Looks really smart. I will just suggest you keep a close eye one the windows and door. My Mum has a shed like this and the windows are a bloody nightmare due to the amount the walls grow and shrink through the seasons. The outer cases of the windows began to peel away and let water in quite...

    windscreens

It should not affect the renewal much if any. I had a replacement screen in my van last year it cost £100 excess. Had been a chip for many years but not MOT failure as not in the main zone. One day it just became a crack because of the cold. I have heard that you have to be careful if you have...

    Selling advice

It seems to me there are 2 main markets on Etsy for woodwork. The first is cheap and nasty imported from India and Africa or made by hobby people who don`t really need to make money just cover materials etc. Secondly the really nice stuff, which I think is more just speculative examples of the...

Hi new to the group my first post of some accoya windows I've made. Any advice on best paint for spraying would be good.

I found the Teknos I used ( supplied by client ) was like jelly, it sprayed out ok but was virtually impossible to spray without orange peel. Can you change the tip size in your machine? The morrells Omnia goes on much nicer, it is much more liquid and flows out well for less orange peel...

Hi new to the group my first post of some accoya windows I've made. Any advice on best paint for spraying would be good.

Not tried the Mighton stuff yet but I have a can of the undercoat to try. Morrells Omnia is fine, Sikkens or Teknos do an Accoya specific system I forget which one off the top of my head. For most you will need an airless or air assisted airless sprayer like a kremlin.

    Attaching Sash cords

Mighton cord clams, they say you can only use nylon cord but I have used them with the waxed cotton. Best way for any future maintenance or decoration.

Laminating solid oak floorboards to mage 100mm thick piece of timber

Cant see why not, just use a good glue and clamp it well. This is how engineered timber is made.

    No 3 plane too small

I have the same issue, all the planes I own have too small handles. I realise I could make new handles but I just cary on with them. I use a sort of 3 finger grip like on a saw with my top finger resting on the iron. Apparently lee nielsen sell bigger handles but I have not tried one yet.
