    Hand mitre saw blades

Hi Bentontool, didn't realise you were viewing this post. I most certainly will should I require further info, mate.

    Hand mitre saw blades

Johnwalls26, already posted one of them "Dieter Schmid" site: https://www.fine-tools.com/gestell.html. Wonkee Donkey Tools has a good description (with pics) https://www.wonkeedonkeetools.co.uk/handsaws/what-are-the-parts-of-a-hand-mitre-saw. Hears one site in Ozzyland...

I'm unsure where you the content of your post, I am looking only for 550 & 600mm blades, to fit the 2 style of saws in my possession.

    TYZACK Backsaw Heresy?

Spanner48, thanks for explaining, I only asked re a possible business opportunity I can foresee coming out of this. Re what your doing, I suppose I don't need to tell/remind you about engineering blue, as all the work involved would respond to it's use, if that is you can get a whole saw plate...

    Hand mitre saw blades

Unfortunately no, these are metal frame assemblies, and the problem is not just the blade length as all the varieties of these saws in the UK, are largely unsupported, so it's not gesable really.

Surely a huge gap in the market?

Have you had a look into developing hand held power tools, converting them into stationary ones. There would be your saw table, your mitre saw. The planer thicknesser could be replaced width a thickness sander, etc.

    TYZACK Backsaw Heresy?

I'm wondering if you work in this sector, i.e. making saw blades?

    TYZACK Backsaw Heresy?

Thanks for the reply Alex, I of course, wrongly, assumed this being a UK named site, you were British, my mistake. Your link is very interesting, but somehow posting the description on the Ebay UK site doesn't turn up anything quite like yours. Now that's got me thinking, spring steel used for...

    Hand mitre saw blades

I've contemplated this, and indeed posted via a reply, to someone on this site "bentontool, see "Tyzack backsaw heresy" who appears to be a guy who thinks outside the box, and could prove useful in my search, should he answer me.

    Hand mitre saw blades

Perhaps i should have referred to them as lance teeth to save you thinking that way, however lance teeth , however close they may be, are not what I seek, so let me expand on my post. Japanese style tooth designed wood saws are normally used in a pull manner, however that's because the blades...

    TYZACK Backsaw Heresy?

Wow, I don't know whether your looking at another post, one I put up in the hand tool sector, regarding replacement blades for hand mitre saw blades, but if you were interested there's a whole UK market for someone like yourself and your ability to make saws from this steel. Have a look at my...

    Hand mitre saw blades

No I'm not after a pull action, as the fence which the wood sits against is for push, and as for reversing them, that's correct. These blades can be put on either way, as the keyhole fixings/holes are the same both ends. So just to clarify, I'm seeking 550 & 600 (overall lengths) Nobex, are...

    Helping at a repair cafe

Ditto. The amount of clocks one of our volunteers has taken home to fix/set, is mind boggling.

    Hand mitre saw blades

I and some of the Men's Shed I run, have set up a new piece of curriculum for kids with special needs, at our local Academy. Due to school/council restrictions the kids and ourselves are not allowed to use any machinery, for some small projects were involved in. We require replacement blades...

    Helping at a repair cafe

The point of "Economically Repaired" is probably the biggest factor. I run a men's shed, and help run the local repair café, most of what comes into us, would be considered unrepairable, i.e., to little work to price to an advantage, or to complicated to most. But it's extremely rewarding...

    Table saw safety

On old construction sites, here in Scotland, you used to come up against site saws, which were dragged from site to site. Often these were diesel generated units, 22" blades approx (which were seldom sharpened) and relied on brute force to push the wood through. Now the point...they had a cast...

Best and least messy way to remove surface rust from tools

Another method, and I've used this on all sorts...vinegar. Vinegar is a bit aggressive, so check the percentage and water it down if necessary, then wash the item in washing up liquid, as you would dishes, this stops the action. Oil the tool to complete the action, and on sunny days I like to...

Need advice for dismantling shaft and searching for bearings for Kity 637

Your bearing (once you've got it off the shaft) will have a number identifying it, look for a bearing with that number & also fitting in with your dimensions, etc. should get a result, although sometimes hey can be machine/manufacturer specific.

    Hello

Hi everyone, I am the founding member and chairman of a Men's Shed, that I set up 9 years ago. I come from an engineering background, having served my time as a Patternmaker, moved from this sector to the construction sector, where I operated as a joiner, when I was still on the tools. Project...
