    lucky find

Nice. Chisels are always welcome, but a bench rebate plane is a really nice find. May you put them to good use and make their previous owner proud.

    Grinding Brass and Steel

During on trip I saw something that was pretty incredible, and well played to the guy for his quick thinking and execution. It was the year Plant&Page played so 1995 I think. We'd a small group, led there funnily enough by a Glast' security guard for a small fee, to be helped over. It's a big...

    Grinding Brass and Steel

C - I would say not. I've found the kind of dark browny colour ones you get for cheap last the longest, though tbh I've worn out hundreds, but never really took stock of how long they lasted as id a giant box of them A - As above. A kind of dark brown colour. The green ones last well too, but...

    Fibonacci

Is that anything like a Luban ruler ? Oh Jaoob  It's long been known in design that dimensions and their relationship to one another is very important. https://www.likvietnam.com/en/content/21-feng-shui-calculator https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lu_Ban

    Stainless steel splashback

If screwing with a dome head or whatever, mind and not do up too tight, as that will deform the metal and look not so good.

looking for a decent dust extractor

I think you're going to need a bigger extractor than that, and at least one air cleaner too. Axminster stuff is on the pricey side, so maybe look to charnwood https://charnwood.net/product/professional-dust-extractor-2200w-240v-copy-copy-copy/ Or Scott&Sargeant...

    Wood for Garden Furniture

I'm doing myself a wide chair, now I've had my little front garden paved. I've a pair of those cast bench sides, and im intending to use Afromosia to make the slats with. Timber is reclaimed, found a bit of a bar top years ago and squirreled it away for just such a job. Last time I looked, it...

    Learning woodwork from youtube

The vids comments have been removed. I think for the sake of anyone uninformed watching the vid they should be replaced, as well as a note about unplugging a powertool when working on it/blade change etc. Maybe go off to the facebook link and comment there too.

    Mortise & tenons Cutting accurately

You can indeed. Some saws(most of them i think) you can set the blade height. The facility is for cutting dados for shelves and the like. So it works just the same for cutting tenons.
