    Makita 2012NB

Haven't got an adapter that fits to connect to my record extractor. Seems like the Makita supplied dust shroud is an odd size. I know someone on etsy that could make me one it's £19. Currently using an existing adapter l have and gaffer tape. But lm thinking that as the £45 adapter has a 100mm...

    Makita 2012NB

Yes it does seem alot but the centralised port and being 100mm and able to hook up to my record dx1000 thinking it might be an improvement.

    Makita 2012NB

Has anyone got one of these for the Makita thicknesser. Thinking of getting one now I've got my thicknesser. Seems like it would be an improvement over the existing one that comes with the machine

Advice Please- Table Saw Push Sticks and Disks

Have a look at the Jay Bates "Best push stick ever" on YouTube easy to make best one I've used. Bow products make a feature board for job site saws which l have found to be excellent.

    Dimensions of Makita thicknesser 2012

Can anyone provide the dimensions of the thicknesser l know on the website it says L 483 W 771 H 401 but this doesn't seem to fit with the pictures. I need the width height and depth when looking at it head on. What to see if it will fit in under my work bench.

    Thicknesser

I guess the quality explains the difference in price. That's why I tend to go for equipment from the likes of dewalt, makita, milwaukee. Love to be able to afford festool but I'm only a bodger not a pro.

    Thicknesser

    Seen this on ebay.£599

    Thicknesser

Thanks David If l can get it for £500 will go for it but finding hard to justify the extra cost over the Metabo. From others comments both would be fine I'm sure.

    Thicknesser

The Makita is meant to be quieter don't know if it's much different to the Dewalt they're all noisy. Colournoise Thanks for the info on the Metabo the price is definetly attractive. Also saw where someone was have trouble with the dust shute. I've got a Record dust extractor with 100mm ducting...

    Thicknesser

The only downside to the Makita as far as I can see is the price. Saw a you tube video where the guy had a problem with the knives and wood chips getting underneath and distorting them. But the DH330 is around £200 cheaper
